Fall is in my heart

If not in the air.
First: As you can see, I Halloween-ed my blog for the season thanks to ShabbyBlogs.com, serious shout-out for their adorable backgrounds and other blog add-ons, and it's all free! All the better! Now if I could just find a pumpkin to carve...

So today I woke up grumpy and sick, or allergies, I still don't know, but my head is pounding and my throat felt as though it'd been put through a cheese grater, so I was in a pretty foul mood. Then I received an email that my 1:30 PM class was cancelled and I made the decision to get some grocery shopping done. So, all wrapped up in a sweater (this is me thinking it's October and supposed to be chilly outside) I trudged to Monoprix (very deceptive name by the way, everything is a different price... huh) and stomped around, discouraging all human contact.
First, I bought coffee, because I need coffee to function some mornings and the mini-espressos that most cafés provide is disappointing, so now I can make as many as I want before my first class each morning, and during the day, and before I go to bed... I love coffee.
Then, I was hit by inspiration and scrambled together the makings for a quick cheater rice pudding because rice pudding is quite popular in France, but prepackaged CozyShack just doesn't always do it for me.
Then I stomped home. And did laundry. Grumbling and stomping continued for a good hour or so before I made myself a coffee and started the rice pudding.
Rice: check. Sweetened Condensed Milk: check. Milk: check. Cinammon: yup. Nutmeg: You betcha. Pinch of saffron: just for kicks
The perfect comfort dessert for today when my nose is running faster than Usain Bolt.
As for the remaining sweetened condensed milk... nothing to worry about. Everything was taken care of.
*Note: this is being uploaded a week after it was written. Because the pictures wouldn't load.. but now I have functioning internet :D
Also, this is how I have to do laundry in France:
So if someone wants to FedEx me a Maytag for Christmas. That'd be awesome. Thanks.
